Lorena is a Partner in the firm's forensic and audit and attestation group. For more than 25 years, she has provided accounting, tax and financial management services to closely held businesses. Her areas of expertise include strategic business consulting; financial statement audits; reviews and compilations; operational reviews; forensic examinations and tax planning. In addition to being a certified public accountant (CPA), she is also a Master Analysts in Financial Forensics (MAFF) certified through the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA).
Lorena is a licensed CPA in the state of Illinois. She earned her bachelor's degree from DeVry University and a Masters in Accounting from Keller Graduate School of Management.
Lorena is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Illinois CPA Society and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts; and currently serves on the Audit & Assurance Services Committee for the Illinois CPA Society.
Lorena spends a great amount of time working with various charity organizations, including Nicholas' Gift of Hope, which she co-founded in 2007 to promote drug abuse awareness in our community. In addition, Lorena is a board member for Leyden Family Service Mental Health, which is a not-for-profit providing services for addiction treatment and other mental health problems.
