Michael began his own practice in 1985 and merged with CJBS in 1996. Today, Michael provides innovative tax and financial planning opportunities to closely held businesses, individuals, trusts, retirement plans and non-profit organizations. He is committed to furnishing clients with an integrated approach that establishes, achieves and enhances their financial goals and objectives. In addition, Michael assists clients with investment counseling and tax preparation. His areas of specialization include health care providers, manufacturing, wholesale and distribution companies. Michael also leads the CJBS financial services team to provide critical forensic accounting and litigation support services to a growing number of local and national law firms.
Michael received his Bachelor of Science in Business from Indiana University in 1981 and his CPA from the University of Illinois. In addition, he is also a licensed securities representative. His educational process continues through affiliations with the National Association of Securities Dealers, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Illinois CPA Society foundation.
Michael regularly conducts seminars regarding tax and financial planning issues. He is known for his dynamic style and ability to create an interactive rapport with participants.
Michael has served on the Board of Directors for both the Northbrook Chamber of Commerce and a local manufacturing company, in addition to being the past Director of Northbrook Unit of the American Cancer Society. He also is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois Certified Public Accountants Society.
Michael is an avid golfer. He enjoys both playing in local tournaments and relaxing for 18 with clients and friends. Michael resides in Buffalo Grove with his wife and two children.
