Christopher Petty

Chris joined CJBS as a tax intern in January of 2022 working on individual returns, he then continued as an audit intern into the fall of that year. He was then offered a second tax internship in 2023 where he took on a larger role of working with small and medium sized businesses. After finishing his degree, Chris became an associate in January of 2024.

Before pursing his degree, Chris worked in a variety of sales and customer service roles. During this time Chris developed his interpersonal communication skills, as well as the value of leadership and delegation. These experiences have given him the tools to approach new clients and projects with a hands- on approach.

Chris grew up in the City of Chicago for much of his life and now resides in the Mount Prospect. Chris graduated from City Colleges of Chicago- Richard J. Daley in 2020 with an associate degree, and then transferred to Northern Illinois University to graduate in 2023 with his undergraduate degree in accounting. In his free time Chris enjoys going to the gym, playing basketball, shoe collecting, and playing video games.
