Darren Jossel, CPA

A CJBS team member since 2018, Darren currently serves as a director in the firm’s Tax Department. His responsibilities include completing tax returns and compilations for a wide range of clients. Some of the industries he works with include real estate, medical practices, and construction. Prior to joining CJBS, Darren worked as a senior tax associate, spending three years with RSM US LLP and two and a half years with Global Logistics Properties.

A dependable and easy-going professional, Darren’s personal service philosophy is to understand the client, not just the work. As such, he is always trying to grasp the bigger picture rather than just the details of the engagement before him. He was inspired to pursue a career in accounting by his father, who was also a CPA.

Darren grew up in Deerfield, Illinois and continues to reside there today, now with his wife, their baby, and their dog. He enjoys living in the area because he always has family close by. Outside of the office, Darren likes to spend time with his family, play guitar, and work out.
