Maura Harrington

Maura Harrington rejoined CJBS in 2022 after spending 17 years in the non-profit sector, bringing with her an extensive background in finance and accounting. Maura previously worked at CJBS from 2001 to 2003 as a senior auditor. Over her career, she has served as a controller and director of finance at large social service agencies and a university in the Chicagoland area, worked in forensic accounting, and began her career as a Medicare auditor.

With thirty years of experience in the not-for-profit sector—including social service agencies, healthcare, and higher education—Maura is known for her deep industry knowledge and commitment to supporting organizations that make a difference. She holds a BBA in Public Accounting from Loyola University Chicago and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, and Certified Fraud Examiner.

Outside of work, Maura enjoys playing tennis and listening to true crime podcasts. She values time with her family, including her sister, two nieces, and nephew.
