Benjamin Hicks

Ben joined CJBS as a Staff Associate in August 2021. In his role, he prepares business and individual tax returns. Before becoming an accountant, Ben had a variety of jobs, including welder, bartender, and bank teller — making him a great problem solver. 

A highly motivated team player, Ben is always eager to learn from others and make connections with clients and colleagues alike. Along with his knowledge of accounting, he brings a great attitude and smile to every situation. 

Raised in Warren, Illinois — a small town near the Wisconsin border — Ben earned both his undergraduate and master’s degrees in accounting at Northern Illinois University. He now lives in Highland Park with his black lab, Tank. He enjoys golfing, fishing, and visiting his family back home to make their famous salsa.
