Robin Mandell, CPA, CGMA
Senior Manager
(847) 580-5431

A member of the CJBS team since 2001, Robin currently serves as a tax manager. Her responsibilities include reviewing tax returns, including corporate, partnership, state and local, multi-state, and individual returns, conducting tax research, reviewing write-up work and compilations, and supervising other staff members as they complete similar projects. Robin works with clients primarily in the real estate, manufacturing, and service business industries. She is the go-to person in the firm for cost segregation studies, as well as state and local tax issues. When she joined CJBS, Robin brought with her a wealth of prior experience, including five years as a staff accountant with Geo. S. Olive & Co., seven years at American Woodmark Corp, and five years as a part-time tax accountant with various local firms in Mississippi and Ohio.

A hard working and intelligent professional, Robin is a strong technical resource for her CJBS teammates. She believes that personal service is the key to client satisfaction and thus works hard to provide such. A self-described “numbers person”, Robin chose to pursue a career in accounting for the variety of both work and clients that it offered.

Raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Robin currently resides in Gurnee, Illinois with her husband. Together they have two adult children. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, socializing with friends, going for coffee at a local café, and shopping.

Secret talent: Over the years Robin has lived in five different states: Illinois, Indiana, Virginia, Mississippi, and Ohio.
