If your return is on extension, we encourage you to submit any outstanding tax documents as soon as possible to ensure a smooth and timely filing process.

• Oct 15 – 2024 C-Corporations Form1120

Tax Law Update: “Big, Beautiful Bill”

Major changes begin in 2025. Highlights include:

• Lower individual rates and a higher standard deduction
• Updated itemized-deduction rules
• Expanded child tax credit and other family benefits
• Business changes affecting deductions/credits and phaseouts

Super Jake Foundation Golf Outing

We were proud to support The Super Jake Foundation in their mission to fight neuroblastoma, a rare pediatric cancer. Our participation helped raise funds and awareness for this important cause, and it was a great day on the course for an even greater purpose!

University of Illinois Chicago ‘Meet the Firms’ Career Fair

Our team connected with talented students at UIC to share what a future in accounting can look like at CJBS. We’re actively seeking interns for the 2026 tax season—offering hands-on experience, mentorship, and a chance to truly prepare returns that matter. We look forward to welcoming the next generation of accounting professionals!

Illinois CPA Society Day of Service

For this year’s annual day of service, we rolled up our sleeves at the Northern Illinois Food Bank. Together, our group packed an incredible 16,780 pounds of food—equivalent to 13,983 meals for neighbors in need. It was a rewarding experience to give back and work as a team outside the office.
